Religious Education
Our Religious Education curriculum helps children understand the diverse beliefs, values and traditions that shape our world. As a Rights Respecting school, we aim to nurture well-rounded pupils who show compassion, honesty, respect and curiosity, while developing confidence and resilience in their learning.
Through RE, pupils explore different religions and worldviews, learning about cultures, traditions and beliefs from the past and present. This encourages them to reflect on their own values, develop respect for others and understand their place within a diverse global community.
Our teaching promotes key learning attitudes such as enquiry, collaboration, creativity, independence and problem solving. Children develop knowledge and subject skills through a carefully planned progression across the school, supported by rich vocabulary and meaningful discussion.
By engaging with big questions about belief, identity and morality, pupils learn to think critically, express their ideas with confidence and appreciate the perspectives of others. This helps them grow into thoughtful, respectful individuals who are prepared to make a positive difference in the world.
